#9 Eternals
The new Marvel Eternals film is not due to hit cineplexes until the end of 2020, but the film has already entered production and pictures behind the scenes are beginning to find their way online. A blonde Angelina Jolie, who is starring as Eternal Thena, has been spotted wading into a body of water and emptying the contents of what appears to be an urn. A humongous gate constructed on a set in Fuerteventura, Canary Islands, seems to suggest that the film will visit Babylon’s ancient city — the impressive structure strongly resembles the Ishtar Gate.
[adace-ad id=”884″]Thena once encountered a Deviant (the rival race of the Eternals) named Kro in Babylon in the comics. He saved her life and eventually the two had kids together, something we could see mirrored on the screen. There’s nothing specific about the story, but we know it’s going to be one of the most diverse ensembles Marvel has ever produced.
