While going through a serious bout with clinical depression, Owen Wilson attempted to take his own life when he slashed his wrists in the summer of 2007. The comedic star of Bottle Rocket and The Darjeeling Limited, to name a couple, had to take time away from the screen and was pulled from a starring role in Ben Stiller’s Tropic Thunder, which was slated to begin production during the fall of 2007.
